Bespoke or Template Website?

Often when people get a quote for a website they tend to go for the cheaper option as you would expect. The trouble with this though with most web design companies, is that the only reason they can offer the website for cheaper is because most of the time they don't produce the design themselves. Instead they just simply type the text they want into themes that other people have already made for them. All they have to do is simply choose a ready made design from a list and enter the text they want then they are done and you still end up having to pay about £300 for a 5 page website. The main problem with a template website though is that the web design company has virtually no control over how the page turns out once they have entered the text and this also means that if you don't like something about the design, then they often cannot change it for you because they don't have the rights as its not their work. Another problem is that the company that they bought the ready made template from often puts their own logo on it, and most of the time it isn't that discrete. Overall this makes the website look very unprofessional.

With a bespoke website on the other hand, the main advantage is that the website can be made entirely around you to suit your needs. With other web design companies this does tend to cost quite a bit more though. However this does mean that you have full control over things like the graphics and the colour scheme and if you don't like the layout then it can easily be changed. Obviously the reason why it is more expensive is because there is a lot more work for the web design company to do, but it still looks better value for money when you think that for a couple of hundred pounds less, all they will do is copy some text that you have given them into a template.

At JAT Web Design, our aim is to provide professional bespoke websites at the same affordable price as the web design companies that just use templates. For example a 5 page template website will often cost around £300 but we will design a bespoke website for about the same price. As well as this you will also get a year's free web hosting and full support throughout the process of building the website and after completion. For more information, please go to the web design page. So overall, you can easily see that where possible you should definitely try and go for a bespoke website design.
